History

Şehit İlhan Varank High School of Science is the first Science High School in Maltepe/İstanbul and it was founded in 2016. It is called with the name of one of the July 15th martyrs Prof. Dr. İlhan Varank.

Students are admitted according to TEOG exam and we will have our first alumni in 2020. Şehit İlhan Varank High School of Science is co-ed and our classes are consisted of 30 students. There is a boys dormitory and boarding students keep studying in the study hall. Also all students can attend to courses both during the week and at the weekends.

Students study English and German in our school.

We have a high-quality learning environment including physics, chemistry, biology and language laboratories, a reading hall, a library, arts and music rooms, a football pitch, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, an astro pitch, a gymnasium, a canteen and a cafeteria.

We aim to contribute to the development of Turkey raising a knowledgable, social and skilled youth who are committed to Atatürk's principles and reforms on the basis of scientific thinking.
